Tell Me An Interesting Fact.....

32,000 years ago an Arctic ground squirrel was digesting parts of a plant, silene stenophylla when it died. Its body was recently recovered from the permafrost and scientists were able to dissect it and germinate the plant seed. The 32,000 year old plant has just bloomed.

When Cook and his crew reached Hicks Point in 1770, on the Australian East Coast, it is said that the inhabitants hadn’t had contact with other peoples for 8 thousand years.
Surely the most interesting fact there is that people in Australia used to live for 8,000 years until Captain Cook rocked up!!!

Blew my mind, that one!
