No, not a lumberjack themed ice hockey franchise...........

I'm looking at building a fairly large shed / possible bit of a summer house (but more of a shed really).

Where's good / competitively priced for timber that hold good stock?

Why don't you build a two in one? Have the summer house facing the direction you want and build a shed on the side of it with a separate door for the shed.

I'm going to build one for my son similar to this but with the shed door on the side.

Regarding buying wood, they are much a muchness with one thing cheaper than another at different timber merchants. I've been using Smithfield's Timber but the place near the Newport Bridge (red building) is pretty good.

I always used Yorkshire Timber but they have shut their factory on Skippers Lane.

When buying wood from Smithfield's you need to watch what they are giving you. I'm not so sure about the new factory but in their old place, a lot of the wood was stored outdoors and was very wet. When it dried out it tended to warp.

Saying that I have just bought some decking boards from them and nothing at all wrong with them.
