I really appreciate your opinion on it yes it’s no way as good as it was Years ago. Tho the website is a joke
 
Too bland for me, I like a few more flashing lights, sirens and audio playing from five or six embedded videos, not just two or three.

A few more pop ups and overlays wouldn't hurt either. If you're not using your mouse to close down pop-ups like a cat chasing a laser pointer, I think the web developer has missed a trick.
 
Don't...it's unusable. Loads of other places to find out what you need to know.
 
Not a place for any form of serious journalism. No idea if the paper is any different to the site, but the site mainly consists of:
Latest takeaways with 0 star health ratings
Beauty spots on your doorstep
Ben Houchen at the airport
Businesses for sale
People who have passed away recently

Not to mention the site is an absolute dumpster-fire in terms of usability
 
I used to use the App to keep in touch with what's happening back home, but as you say it's pointless now - simply kids (not journalists and never will be) trawling Social Media and quoting from there to keep the lowest common denominator happy.

Zero "news" at all
