Quite disappointed in that.

Would have liked to see Silvera or Gilbert in for Greenwood.

I like Engel, but at the same point he runs a lot and might be tired. Let's see.
 
I dont claim to speak for everyone, but Thomas has been written off as a dud, but I am hoping to see something more from him today. Unless Engel has a knock I dont understand that change.

I also hope that Carrick does not delay hooking off Greenwood and bringing on Silvera or Gilbert - unless he is lookign better than he has been.
 
There must be a player in there somewhere in Thomas, he played regularly in a team who won the fa cup and finished top 6 in the premier League and 20 odd times for England U21s.
Maybe we'll see it today!
I also don't think Greenwood is nearly as bad as everyone makes out either.

Sounds like you have zero faith in Carrick then because he sees plenty in him to start him numerous times.
Get over your dodgy opinions…and negativity.

I'd really like Greenwood to go on a good run like he had earlier in the season.

I think Carricks focus on him has to being more consistently involved.

Carrick must want to finish strongly - there is a part of me that would like to see us try a few things - like Gilbert getting 90 minutes just after a great assist. Or one of the youngsters getting a run out.
 
Engel is garbage. Only seen Thomas for about 200 minutes haven't we? I know he's been pretty poor but I think it's worth another try.
