Probably rested, also Clarke may of been put incase they started Ikpeazu as he would bully a defence of VDB and Fry too easily.

Just a bit concerned that he's not even in the squad. You can rest a player by having him on the bench. Surely it can still be considered as a rest if he doesn't play.
