7 changes too many for me, if we win and again at the weekend then it’s a master stroke, if we don’t it’s a mistake.

I guess the gauntlet has been thrown down to the reserve players to prove they should be in the starting XI

Bradford are only League 2 though....

I thought Carrick might have put Engel in at left back to try to regain his confidence, but O'Brien could also do with the game time.

We've played loads of rounds already in this competition. We must be in the quarter finals if we win this surely? Line up looks fine for a league 2 side.

We're only in the third round.
Win this and we're in the round of 16.

I think it's really daft to play O'Brien at left back whilst we have two fit ones on the bench, especially when it's against League Two opposition.

Shows a total lack of faith in Engel going forward.

It also means it's yet another game where we're playing our highly rated loan midfield in somewhere other than the midfield.

Even if you were going to play O'Brien there on Saturday, give Engel a chance to show he can improve.

Perhaps bangura is out for a while so he just wants to give O'Brien game time to get used to the new position. Engel needs a loan. He's had a few games and has looked well short. We can't afford to keep playing him in the hope he improves. We are bottom and our defence has been shocking.

Yes, I think Carrick wants to get O'Brien in the team, but sees Hackney and Howson as his first choice midfield pairing. It's understandable he wants more experience in there given our poor start.

All Bradford's attacking play comes down there right side. Playing an out of form, low on confidence player who's is likely to have the crowd on his back if he makes a mistake against their best attacking threat might not be a great idea. Bring him on when we're 2-0 up!😎
