I couldn't watch most of the game as had something else to attend to last-minute ... what i had seen though, was an entertaining game, to say the least.
I said last night I'd take a point as they're a team above us as it stands and it shows progress, and I thought after Friday's game we might be a bit short tonight on energy to see it through.
That sounds like a great point though, from reading this thread, must say I am incredibly frustrated we didn't take all three points. Where does that leave us now ... think we were joint 6th on points as it stood when I checked the live table but dunno how the rest of the games finished yet, not checked!
Glad we put in such a good performance once again by the sounds, An away point you can't normally ever groan at ,,, in these circumstances though, with so much competition for these play-off places at the moment, sounds incredibly frustrating we couldn't have won it to nudge ourselves a bit further ahead, it'll come down to GD or something for the last play-off spot this season I feel.
I said last night I think we'll fall just short of the top-six, but that is only because of points dropped/poor refereeing costing us pre-Wilder
You never know though ... what do people reckon??? I'd love it if we actually did manage it, it sounds as if we can match any side up to 2nd place right now with the way we're playing.
What a job Wilder is doing. Huge praise for young Jones too.. He's come on leaps and bounds and we're so lucky to have that talent along with Fry, Watmore in the side. The only concern is Joe Lumley, I pointed out how I felt harsh for criticizing him so much before Wilder arrived, don't think he is good enough for a solid promotion side, unless we got the rub of the green and nick it luckily despite that position being a problem.
I think everyone will agree to be a strong, stand-out team, you need to begin with a solid keeper and I'm a little concerned about what happened tonight. I thought we would have brought in a new no.1 straight away come to the transfer window just gone, but seems Lumley got the chance to prove he can keep that spot. Unless we did look at other keepers, and just struggled to make the deals happen. His mistakes though could be the difference come to the end of the campaign.
I hope Lumley improves and cuts out the mistakes, gains more confidence, but getting tired of saying that now. He would maybe make a good no.2 but I think we need to find a replacement. I just can't think of who'd be available within our range.
Anyway, well done to the team tonight. Jones, Fry, Watmore .... brilliant. Seems we keep going on and on at the moment and it's so refreshing
Really sorry to see what happened to Payero, hope it isn't as bad as it seems to be and he recovers sooner than later. Get well soon fella.
