Agree. Unless there's a fitness concern I think they go straight in

It goes to show the difference a couple of signings make. That starting 11 looks much more balanced and the bench looks a lot stronger. One or two more signings as well as Smith, Dijksteel and potentially Clarke returning and there'll be healthy competition for each position.
 
Smith was going to be out 3 weeks after the Real Betis game (July 22nd) - hopefully back in light training.

We do need another central midfielder and somome who is comfortable as a left winger/left sided attacking midfielder, by the end of August.

We have McGree and Silvera there. McGree was excellent most of last season there and Silvera has showed early signs of promise. Rogers can play there too.

Can't think we'd possibly sign another left sided player.

Central midfielder, preferably a more defensive minded one, definitely.

Think Forss and McGree have to start, definitely two of our better players last season still don't get why they never started on Saturday

Gilbert as well. We're stacked on the left side. Unless anyone leaves I think we're sorted in the attacking positions. If I'm being greedy I'd love someone who can play 10 or 9 but they're incredibly rare.
