Team to play Millwall?

I'm assuming Clarke won't be available, so I'd switch to wing-backs for this one. I know that will depress some fans but I don't trust McNair playing CB in a back 4.

They play 4-2-3-1, if we need 3 CBs to handle their one CF (Bradshaw) then we might as well go home now. Match them up and let our quality prevail.

The big danger for them is Zian Flemming, I'd consider Howson or Hackney to man-mark him. Their weaknesses are CDM, Chuba should be able to run off Saville and Mitchell, and RB, let Giles get at them. They are strong in the air at CB, so we need to look for late runners into the box and pull backs from the byline.
 
He won't change it much. The big question is whether he sticks with Forss on the right and Crooks up front. Personally I'd be tempted to go back to Jones right and Forss up front at home. I think the other system is better suited to tough away games

Forss right and Archer up front for me. Get as many goal scorers on the pitch as we can. Forss, Akpom, Archer all have goals in them, McGree a little too. Crooks isn't going to be as effective in the air against Jake Cooper...they're the same height

I'd forgotten about Archer to be honest.
 
i'd imagine it would be the same as Brum with McNair in for Lenihan if he is out, it would be tough dropping Crooks after the last league game let Archer work his way into the team if shows he is good enough

I think we'll use a nippy forward to try get in behind them. Lumping it forward to a big man against powerful teams like Milwall doesn't tend to work.
Would be harsh on Crooks but getting the ball down on the deck and going for Archers pace could be the trick
 
If they are slow at the back, would play Archer. One thing we lack in the forward positions is real pace, with Jones form dropping off. Get them turned around and play on the front foot. Harsh on Crooks after his display against Brum, but horses for courses and all that.
 
Same 11 as Brighton game please.

Don't want any changes to tactics or formations. Just McNair in for Lenihan and keep everything else the same.
 
I've a suspicion we are going to see something unexpected in this game. Maybe a 3412 or something.

Cant see him changing from last week, he is loyal and does not mess about with formations. Archer will get 30 minutes I am sure

Howson might be the only person to start the game last year and this year! Even the bench is completely gone other than injured Dijksteel

wow that's mad feel like the current line and subs are far stronger now but maybe because we been on a good run and I am biased
