I'm assuming Tav won't play, probably Bola too and Coulson hasn't got a squad number.

For me, I expect us to lose this as a pretty tough away opener on a traditionally unhappy hunting ground. If he's not fully fit I can't see the point risking him.

I'm really hoping Howson isn't an automatic starter when fit this season, he's been underwhelming in the main for me. But, he is a good honest pro who has done a job anywhere he's been asked to. Just don't see anything from him in goals, assists, tracking runners, getting tackles in or leading and motivating those round him, he's just a bit meh at nearly everything (again IMO).
Not what I thought we were getting when we signed him and the years definitely seemed to have caught up with him in our dreadful spell in the second half of the season.
Maybe he was injured and he'll come back refreshed, but he hasn't looked any better in pre-season from what I've seen either.

Thats what I think he will go with as well with Tav not risked.
If Bola not risked probably Spence will come in for him and either he or Dijksteel play left side.
Personally if thats all we have I would swap McNair and Dijksteel positions so this team.

Any news anywhere on Payero international clearance yet?
Has Bola been declared fit yet? Was fifty fifty wasn't he?
If he does play I think I'd prefer to swap Crooks and Payero in that formation, he's a more robust 'unit' type who can get stuck in.

Haven’t heard on either but I am hoping both are available. I disagree on Payero and Crooks, from what I have seen on Payero he looks to be a no 8 who can drive forward and create. Guess we will see. Crooks for me is more a second striker type player who helps support the strikers, not sure I would have him in a deeper position personally
