As long as he keeps Conway off penalties….It’s Carrick - never second guess the big guy.
Ayling back and a start for Barlaser feels right out of the boss’s playbook on this one.
Forss had about 70 mins in for the U21s last night. I’d be surprised if he was involved on SaturdayUnchanged from the Norwich starting 11. We were class for 70mins. The best performance by a country mile.
Although could have done with the solidity of the WBA performance. That was superb for different reasons.
Hopefully Forss available to replace Doak when he runs himself into the ground.
He should be OK off the bench i think. But definitely won't startForss had about 70 mins in for the U21s last night. I’d be surprised if he was involved on Saturday
I mean.. if he’d have scored last night., I would have agreed with you.He should be OK off the bench i think. But definitely won't start
Clarke is in a few posters’ selections even though he is seemingly down the down the list of centre backs when the team is selected. Perhaps Woodgate has influence and he knows a classy centre back. He was one.
Edmondson came in for VDB initially when he was injured the first time.He was starting every match before getting injured, he's only not back in because Edmundson was decent when coming in for him and barring one mistake against Watford, he's played well.
Edmondson came in for VDB initially when he was injured the first time.
VDB then replaced Clarke when he got injured and Edmondson retained his place.
Edmondson has played 8 consecutive games now which feels like a record for a Boro centre back.
Yeah Carrick doesn't really change the team for the sake of it. I think Clarke would have sat on the bench for as long as it took for VDB or Edmo to either get injured or have a serious dip on form.Aye fair, I forgot van den Berg dropped out first, but it amounts to the same thing, Clarke wasn't dropped because of any issues with his performances, he was injured and the player who replaced him was performing well enough for Carrick to let him keep the shirt.
Forss might well play for the U21’s again tomorrow. They kick off at 3pm at Heritage Park against Forest. Strange them being at home with a same time kick off as the first team.Forss had about 70 mins in for the U21s last night. I’d be surprised if he was involved on Saturday
