Team for Saturday

We all seem to agree on the basic team, my concern is the lack of height in our defence. Fry provides that but most people don't have him in the team ?
Is this because we think he is getting sold? If so Clarke was not his replacement , CW will not go with 3 6ft 1in CHs I doubt ,He always has a beast in there and that's what we lack. I expect a beast, in defence and attack.
CM / DM - we need a proper one in there. Whiteman , Chalobah, Onomah, Cairney. To name a few, Howson / McNair should be the back up.
Mcgree is decent but does not score / assist enough for a top team as the no10 An upgrade would be great, and McGree will play LM CM rotating .
Up top, Muniz will start , but he is 5ft 10in so not a Larssen , more the one behind .
I don't want us to pay top dollar for a risk like Larssen , get a couple of wild cards in.
Exciting days ahead , we shall overcome . UTB

That Lumely is vvank?

That a settled back three with attributes more suited to how we play will make us better defensively?

With how many goals you think Stefen is directly responsible for?

Several poster are on record as him being a superb signing though, hope you were not in that group. I am prepared to wait but i think the ending will be less than auspicious as things stand, fingers crossed he improves on crosses as so far he is an accident waiting to happen.

If you're not calling for him to be dropped, why ask me if I'm sticking loyally to him?
I'd not made a comment about him good or bad, beyond naming him in my team.

I wasn't one who thought he was a superb signing, but I did think he has the potential to be a great one given where he's from, the fact they paid top whack for him and they liked him enough to extend his contract before loaning him, but he's played so little in his career that I didn't have a proper opinion on his ability.

I would have preferred Iversen, but we were never going to pay what Leicester wanted for him.

I've excluded Fry because he's only good in the centre of a three and I think Lenihan is more of a threat going forwards.

Would be quite happy with Fry central in place of Lenihan if it came to it, but I'd sooner have Dijksteel or McNair on the right over Fry.

Would also be fine with Fry on the right of a straight back 4.

Iversen was the one. steffen deserves time but not too much as he is proving my concerns to be right to date. I recall Diego being a bit ott and a couple of others on him. I ask because you criticised Dijksteel who has been less to blame imho than Steffen. As for the potential, we disagree but he has time to prove me wrong tbf. As for what Leicester wanted, nobody knows, but I will suggest before long he will be Leicesters number 1 (this season) as he is better than Ward imho.

I mentioned Dijksteel making mistakes because the poster I'd quoted said he hadn't made many.

He's made a few this season, some leading to goals.

Which is probably why he was dropped the other day.

He was one of our best players last season though and he's great at linking up on the right with Crooks and Jones, so I'd have him back in now it's clear that Fry struggles in that position.

I can agree re Djiksteel, Steffen for now has my backing, but I have seen somewhat more from both Daniels and Roberts in truth, but hope it is a mere case of rust. I am somewhat doubtful though. 🤞 he improves from his current issues.

Nah was defo a foul for me and even it wasn’t that’s only 1 goal I would blame him with. Been really pleased with him so far in the main, think he will get better too. Just would like us to play a back 3 of Dijksteel , Lenihan and McNair in front of him until LCB is signed and I think we will start picking up some results.

For Saturday we shouldn't worry about height. They've got 3 players over 180cm, one of them is Wood who got the half time hook and probably won't play.

Cabango is roughly the same height as Lenihan, next is Piroe who is about McNairs height. The rest are midgets.

.....cue us letting in 3 headers.

on the insistence of an 'eleven man team' I've changed tactics somewhat.. in that I am sticking with wilders tactics.. of playing eleven me.
the big difference would be playing McNair on the left side of midfield adding a bit of strength in there and providing a little more cover in a somewhat vulnerable area of the pitch..

Should get away with Swansea for lack of height, the rest of the season will be a worry if it is not addressed. V Swansea I would go
