I know it’s not for another 2 days but I cannot wait, so happy to be back watching the boro (can’t stand international breaks), great game yesterday, 2 points of the playoffs + 5 points of 3rd, hopefully we add another 3 points! For me I’d be playing….

Dieng

Van Den Berg
Fry
McNair
Engel

Barlaser
Hackney

Greenwood
Crooks
Jones

Coburn

Glover
Lenihan
Dijksteel
Bangura
Howson
McGree (Silvera if injured)
Rogers
Forss
Lath

Always believe in keep playing the same winning team, Rogers’ confidence will be high so maybe it’s harsh to not start him, I’d give him at least 30 mins off the bench…

I'm not a fan of "never change a winning team"; it's a relic from the age when clubs had 15 man squads and everyone played 85% fit.
I would start ELL. I'm a big fan of Josh; he's come in and made a bit of an impact, but did struggle with his finishing yesterday. ELL has contributed in both his recent sub appearances, and I'd give him a chance, and I think he's earned it. That's how it will go for Josh, or most young strikers: come in, play well for a few, then need a break from the spotlight. It's normal.

If Dijksteel is fit, I'd bring him in at RB. Otherwise, it comes down to fitness and freshness. I don't expect McGree back, though I'd like him in. I'd expect Crooks to be knackered after yesterday. I'd have no problem with Howson coming in if either of the midfielders isn't 100%

Two changes VDB for injured Smith at RB and Latte Lath with his pace up front for Josh. the rest of the team deserves to start on Tuesday night. Carrick won't change much, now the team is ticking.

Tricky one this. I think one of the problems last season was that Carrick didn't feel able to rotate and we paid for it at the end of the season. However, this feels like a bad time to try and rotate. Assuming Smith is out and that McGree and Lenihan aren't ready to return then I like the idea of Howson at right back. I think he can play the hybrid RB/CB back role very effectively and I think we'll need him back on the pitch.

I don't think Dijksteel is the answer and, clearly, neither does Carrick. Notable that he dropped Jones to RB and that's something he could try in the future too but not away against Norwich. The rest will depend on fitness and injuries. It's finely balanced between Coburn and Latte Lath for the start but I would be minded to keep faith in Coburn. Likewise, it's tempting to start Rogers over Greenwood but I think we would be benefit from keeping the pressure off Rogers and continuing to build up Greenwood's fitness.

Norwich is a game where we can go and win if we are confident and play on the front foot, they have a few important players out with Injury.

I would like to see Dijksteel come in at RB and get the partnership with Crooks and Jones going again.

Think Lath could be the one to get the start ahead of coburn to run off Gibson and Duffy but have no issues if Josh goes again he is learning every game and will score goals for us on another day he scores 2 yesterday.

I don't think that was the case yesterday in regards to Dijksteel, I think Carrick knew the game was there to be won and put Forss on as another attacking option as he is more of a goal threat than RVB, Dijksteel or Jones IMO

It's almost impossible to predict for me, if everyone is fit I'd probably play the same team (Dijksteel for Smith), with McGree back in for Greenwood if he is available. Otherwise, happy to rotate based on their fitness. I'd be happy with nearly any of the squad playing at the moment.

Dijksteel has not kicked a ball in the the 1st team for a long time , so I think RVB or Howson will be in front of him , Howson would get my vote as it can be a hostile away game where experience can count.

Anfernee in for Smiggy to start 1st half?
Or maybe, if we are crusing towards the end of the game, he could replace Rav for the last ten to 15 mins?
