I've named players assuming they will be back from illness but obviously that's an unknown.

I'm guessing there's still no Hackney as McCabe isn't playing for U21s later suggesting he's on the bench for the first team tomorrow.

Conway/Lath is a coin toss right now but I slightly prefer Conway.

I'd go with that 👍

Lath or Conway up top, both as bad as each other v Blackburn.......would expect Lath to get the nod.

LL played well against Blackburn I thought, held it up well and worked his nuts off feeding off scraps, so he's no 1 for me, ahead of Conway. Conway wasn't great v Blackburn too, but appreciate he was out of position.

Hopefully Doak is fit and doesn't get a yellow, and we can get him on the ball more.

Doak----------------Azaz-----------Burgzorg

But if Burgzorg and Azaz are still out, then I'd rather start Forss at LW and Gilbert in the #10.

Conway and ELL in the same team just doesn't work.

Dieng

Dijksteel
Edmundson
Clarke
Borges

Howson
Barlaser

Doak
Azaz
Burgzorg

Latte Lath

Hackney in if he's fit but I doubt he will be.

Really hope Hackney is fit because Howson and Barlaser are both too slow on the ball. They were terrible the other night. I'd play McCabe if Hackney doesn't make it.

I would love RAV VD Berg to be back. I feel with the present centre backs (perhaps one in particular) that there is always a goal for the opposition due to say, slack marking or being caught out of position. Thus we need 2 goals to get the points, buts let’s face it Boro should be a couple of goals better than Hull City.

I should add that we were forced into playing 2 strikers because of Azaz injury. Let’s hope LL fires Boro in the first half and Conway applies the coup de grace and we revert to a winning Boro.

We shouldn't have been forced to play LL and Conway together just because Azaz was injured, it was more likely a combination of factors with Burgzorg also being injured. I would try Gilbert at 10 in preference to Conway vs Hull if they're both still out.

I’m Barlaser’s biggest un-fan on playing ability (but will always stick up for him against boo-boys/girls - as he absolutely does not deserve them) , but he will be in with Howson.
I hope everyone gets behind them
I didn’t feel McCabe looked ready in the League Cup game against Stoke

I’d like to see Gilbert get a run out from the bench
Azaz and Burgzorg may need to be given a breather before the 90 minutes if still getting over their illness

If Azaz isn't quite ready to return he has to start Gilbert as the 10. Don't want to see Conway playing as a 10 ever again.

If Hackney's fit enough he comes in for Barlaser but I'll be very surprised if he is.

Latte lath was razor sharp the other night so I’d go for him again because with a decent amount of players behind him then I really fancy him to score 👍

Agree with the posts above - ELL looks primed and ready for goals. Doak, Azaz and Burgzorg behind him.

Also, Cartwright played for the U21's today which suggests a midfielder is back in the squad. Hopefully Hackney is ready and I would play him with Barlaser. Jonny looked off the pace on Wednesday (though he was playing slightly further forward than he would do with Hackney) and was sluggish in possession. Also, this will be game 3 in a week...

My team makes the assumption that everybody who is already injured we won't see till January

Brynn

Doak
Edmondson
Fry
Clarke
Borges

Howson
Barlaser
McCabe

Lath
Conway

Three at the back. Barlaser furthest forward of the three in midfield. Or play Gilbert. Forgot about him TBH.

Why has everyone gone back to Dieng in goal?
Apart from one bad pass straight out of play late on v Blackburn didn’t think Brynn did anything else wrong. Everyone seemed keen that he should stay in team after Oxford but now because of 1 defeat he is out of everyone’s teams

Good point about Howson and a 3rd game in a week - just got to get behind him and Barlaser while Hackney and Morris recover

It's a fair point. Brynn has done very well in his starts.
I would just always assume the no1 keeper plays when they are available.

Brynn is better with his feet than I realised.
