Tea - 'It’s an old person's drink.'

Although I am a confirmed tea drinker, I have from time to time imbibed a fair few coffees primarily for staying awake during long night and day shifts .

So much so that I overdid it once and developed an eye twitch that Commissioner Dreyfus would have been proud of.

Has this happened to any of yous??

Redbush isn't tea, neither are any of the other fruit flavoured beverages. Tea comes from the Camellia sinensis plant.

Anyone tried Northumberland Tea Company's , Jack's Tea? I remember seeing Jackie Charlton promoting it in Asda South Bank sometime in the 00s. Never bothered getting a sample from him but I wish I had now.

What's the difference between a bar of chocolate and a chocolate bar?
If the chocolate surrounds the filling, it's a chocolate (coated) bar. Mars, Milky Way, Bounty etc.

If the chocolate itself contains a filling (for instance, Cadbury Fruit & Nut) then it's a bar of chocolate.

No but I had a weird Red Bull experience on a works trip, trying to keep a herd of clients under control in Ireland.
It was like a weird caffine trip and I could not sleep at all for hours afterwards.

So it’s Typhoo who have gone into administration. I was fearing for Sydney and the Tetley tea folk. Does Ringtons still deliver on Teesside?

Ringtons still have vans out delivering on Teesside.

Yorkshire tea is a bit rubbish, its the madri of the tea world....imo
I feel its quality has slipped of late but still one of the better teas in the 'builder's tea' category.

Only drink tea or milk at home. Coffee at work. Rarely drink alcohol. I think adults drinking fizzy drinks is just odd

I'm not saying you are wrong but why do you think that about adults and fizzy drinks?

I like a glass of Lemonade and will have the odd Pepsi or a lime soda.

I don’t know pal to be honest, I just think drinking pop is a kid thing. It never enters my head to do it. But, oddly I was brought up drinking tea, as a child I was given tea with every meal. I wasn’t really allowed to eat many sweets, I’m not saying I didn’t get them just that it was rare.
I’m not keen on fizzy drinks.
Our house is full of booze, spirits of every description, we’ve got a fridge just for beer and lager, it’s always full but if wouldn’t enter my head to drink it, I’d always put the kettle on. Probably why it’s full!
My wife likes a glass of wine on a night.

I’d never really thought about it, but it might explain the funny looks I get putting Epsom’s Salt in my Bovril.

It’s warm, hearty, and invigorating…

I drank a lot of fizzy drinks up until when I reached my late 20s. Because of it I've done a lot of damage to my teeth.

I feel there should be more education around the dangers of fizzy drinks, as there is regarding nicotine.

They have photos showing what can happen to you if you smoke on cigarette packets, so why not do something similar on cans/bottles of fizzy pop.
