Tav Against City

Even though I think he'd have been better off staying with us for a season.... if he has a good year with them, & they get relegated, he may manage a move to another PL team a little higher up the scale than we would be on promotion....

I do think both Everton & Leicester could have problems this year & be closer to the relegation places than their fans will like...
He has got a guaranteed start at a premier League club. This is the very definition of a lad having his head screwed on right and making the correct move for his career. Staying another season would have been a bad move. He was already an established championship player, another season adds nothing. He's not going to up his profile in the championship, he is playing in the premier League.

Far better than Spence who is third choice, playing for a manager who doesn't want him and will maybe get minutes in the Europa League. That's a bad move. He should have gone to forest.

I disagree he was established, this season would have established him.. for me it was only after Wilders arrival that he started to show real form.. under Warnock his level & consistency of performance was too variable..

He needs to perform this season at a higher level & in a team that will struggle to win more than they draw, never mind lose else he'll be relegated & anonymous..

I just think he could have aimed higher & bigger than - no disrespect - Bournemouth.. his statement to their fans spoke volumes: "I've always dreamed of playing ...in the Premier League" no doubt the area is a nice place to live.. but he's 23 not 53..

the lad should of moved last year to be honest, he needs to be playing alongside better players , it will bring him out into the player we were always looking for 👍🏻
hope the lad turns out to be a top established premiership footballer

He's got 135 appearances. He is very established at championship level. The idea that he only started playing under wilder is rubbish. He played well under Warnock. He played well under Pulis. Even under woody he was ok.

The important thing for a player is to get minutes on the pitch at as high a level as possible. He's done that. Another season in the championship is not going to get him a guaranteed starting birth at an established premier League club.

His level of performance is a matter of opinion, mine is that it was too inconsistent & often not good enough, until Wilders arrival & then improved massively..

The season will play out & the merits of - signing for Bournemouth - will become clear..

He just picked the wrong team it must have been money that madehim move they just look a average champ team that will take a hammering this year would you buy him back when they are on the way down by jan.

130 games in the last 4 seasons......of course he was established.

We'll never know if money was his motivation. I reckon it's more likely Bournemouth where the only team who made a serious move for him, and he thought it was time to have a crack at the prem.

You do realise they're better in the championship than us and better in the premier league than us? Honestly our fans astound me at times. They've been in the premier league 5 years out of the last 7 and won the champo in one of the others. We've been premier league 1 in the last 7, fought relegation season before last. Yet he's gone to an "average champo club"? Christ.

Even if he does go down he will have played at highest level and been paid for it, and have opportunity to move on if he wants.

We've just been dumped out the cup by Barnsley and yet to record a win yet people think we are Man City in disguise

Upto now we have been building a team with pocket money ie using alot of the young lads at the club along with wrong managers . We still look better than them 2day you cant judge our team until after atleast 3 more games.Look at there defending or lack of it V ours even with the young lads in the cup game.

No it’s because for many many years Bournemouth were a third or fourth division team.

Its a bit like Hartlepool suddenly getting a rich owner and then being in the premier league buying our (and others) best players.

You still think of them as Hartlepool regardless of how rich they are or what division they are in.

Others are in that category as well, like Brentford, possibly Palace, Brighton and Fulham to some extent.

All southern teams.

I dread to think what we'd look like against this season's Man City side. Doubt we'd be scoffing at 4-0 defeats.

"For many years..."

And what were we?

I don't think of Bournemouth as Hartlepool at all, that's barmy. They're a premier league team with money and they've been far more successful than us. Players aren't signing for teams of 15 heads ago

What do you think other clubs fans impressions of us is though? Doubt many see us as anything bigger or better than Palace, Brighton or Fulham.

Looked their best player so far... few chances they've had to break he's shone! Also putting in an absolute shift tracking back which is exactly what we're lacking! All the best to the Lad he's already proven he's a prem quality player!
What in 1.5 games !

Yes.. he's 100% Prem Quality = looking entirely comfortable against the champions / fit enough / talented enough to look a threat against the best prem players .. Plus he was one of our better players against United/Spurs in the cup last season!

in my humble opinion there's absolutely ZERO evidence to suggest he's not a prem quality player! Do you disagree?
