Great biography of former Boro, Huddersfield, Pompey and Rep of Ireland "hardman" midfielder Mick Kennedy.
Mick played over 500 league games in all. He made his mark as a real dogged, midfield battler. Was greatly admired by Boro fans for that spirit when all around him things were falling to bits in our mid 80s years of decline.
Sadly died at the age of just 57 alone in Ireland in 2019. This is a really lovely book chronicling his life in and out of football. Well, recommended. On Legends Publishing.

Loved Mick Kennedy. And Heine Otto .

Happy memories of those days in the early 80s despite the ongoing heartbreak of our sharp decline into liquidation.
 
Yes, he was a real bullish midfielder who I think could have easily featured for better teams in better times.
 
I'm always interested in players of that 81-86 period, because it's such an important period of our history - but not really featured too often in books about Boro
