Sycamore Gap - Hadrian’s Wall - felled 😡🤬

Not quite sure what would drive someone to go to the amount of bother it would take to do something like this. It's hardly a drunken prank on the way back from the pub. They've put an awful lot of effort and planning into being a bunch of total ****

I'd be looking at the current cabinet to to be honest.

Did you see on Look North earlier in the week that people had been taking chain saws to trees on the islands in Derwent Water, Lake District? And of course we recently saw the vandalism with an angle grinder at Beggar's Bridge in Eskdale.
last year in Scotland I saw some graffiti and vandalism of ancient monuments. Meaning they had to be closed off to the public.

If it was a pseudoplatanus, plant a campestre.
Turn some plates/ bowls, sycamore’s a good white wood for the kitchen

wtf. I have sheltered under that tree in a huge downpour while walking along the wall. What utter cretins! I sometimes wonder why people do such things. Pointless.
