Sven Goran Eriksson Has Cancer

Just read that and you beat me to the post.
Always struck me as being a undemonstative decent sort, hope it goes as well as it possibly can for him.
75 used to be as much as you could expect but these days the 80s seems to be a reasonable target.
 
Very sad news, I always quite liked him and thought he did a very good job overall. A very talented group that somehow never achieved what they could / should have, but overall did a great job. I hope he manages to live some of the best times of his life while he still can.

As for the gutter press that @MichaelDebeve mentions above, they're shameless peddling vile, unneccesary rubbish to idiots.

To get to see how much people thought of you before you pass on is a strange thing I guess… like hearing your own eulogy….

I always thought Sven was unlucky with England.
Losing 2 pen shoot outs to Portugal. Goals being disallowed etc.

Sven would have taken us to glory if we had a bit of luck go our way.

With that he is a really nice respected man, the type of foreigner you are happy to represent your country.

I always liked Sven, a very dignified, articulate and intelligent man.
Incredibly sad news, things like this put all else in true perspective
