Surely the Police have better things to do than this

They should be in Stewart Park to stop those pricks flying round on scooters/ebikes at 30mph. Weaving between people walking with kids/prams and dog walkers and me!! Someone will die. I was talking to an old guy who was too scared to get off a bench. I wanted to try and punch some of them off, but then I would get arrested not those chunts

Surely needs 24 hr plain clothes surveillance.
2 officers at least per shift say for a month or until dirty nasty hate crime is solved.
Should only cost about 100k
To watch a lampost.
Met said it cost 10k per day to watch Assange. How they worked that out is beyond me. I mean they aren't paying a copper 10 grand a day, so where do the rest of the expenses come from? A really fancy chair for the copper to sit in?

Three 8 hour shifts at the front and three at the back 24x7? So that's six but they have to take breaks so you have to double that. 12 coppers plus the cars (I guess) they're sitting in, engines running for heating or air con probably a coordinating officer at all times plus the cost of equipping them. If the surveillance goes on for a while they will take holidays...

It would have been better to have ignored it. Let the council quietly paint over it and not draw attention to make it more of an issue than it should be.
According to the report, the council did quietly paint over it and now someone has redrawn it on the lamppost.

The Police should investigate & see if it is targeted at a particular person/family/business and that it why it has been redrawn.

It all fits nicely with the current 'trendy' narrative of 'Virtue Signalling' being of more importance than dealing with real crime that affects peoples lives daily.

Those elderly folk who have been mugged, or had their houses broken into, those who have had their cars damaged by feral youths, or been subjected to intimidation in the street are well down the list of priorities it would appear.

They will be given an incident number and nothing else will probably happen. The boxes will have been ticked though as far as the 'Hate Crime' focus around slogans on walls.

Expect it’s investigated to see if it’s aimed at a particular person or family, and if it is found to be then it’s certainly worth investigating. If it’s just mindless vandalism then it won’t go any further. Not sure how that can be such a difficult concept for some to grasp on here

Seems perfectly reasonable. Not sure those commenting how it’s ‘trendy’ have read the article - or when Nazi symbols were just something to literally brush over.

What is wrong with today’s yoof? Just draw knobs on lampposts FFS, good clean fun.
