Superbowl - How did you choose your NFL team?

Go Eagles!
Used to travel to US quite a bit, pre -Covid and one of my clients was a huge Eagles fan, with a spare season ticket. He took me to the Linc a couple of times, so I'd time my visit to NYC to coincide with the games. Sunday morning would find me at Penn station with a few hundred other Eagles fans. I was lucky enough to be at the Championship game when we crushed the Vikings; the atmosphere was a good as anything I've experienced at a match of any description.

I'm nominally a Colts fan. Backpacking in NZ in 2007, I arrived in Rotarua on Monday lunchtime, I wandered into a pub and found it full of Yanks watching the SB. They were all Bears fans except one Colts fan who asked me to be on his side. They won and we got drunk ...

That said, I've only really started watching since lockdown. I'm finding myself identifying with and drawn in by the Bengals story.

Glory supporter here. Got into NFL when Montana and Rice were around so will always be a niners “fan”

Supported the bengals since 2013 when started looking into it when a mate got into it

I've had Bengal cats for 18 years now so the bengals were the obvious choice, they came to mind because I run the Bengal Cats subreddit on Reddit and I remember being annoyed when I set it up that bengals was already taken 😂

They're a very "boro" team

When the NFL was first broadcast on channel 4, the Dolphins were on a lot and winning. As a 7 year old, that seemed like a good pick.

Bengals for me too since 2011, our US head office is in Cincinnati and one of my colleagues is a huge fan. It rubs off. The 'Boro' comment is spot on. Hope Burrows and Chase can bring it home for them. Should be a good game.

I spent some time in Columbus Ohio while my ex was working for A&F, was crazy how when you were walking down the street someone would just shout "O H", and someone else reply with "I O"

Browns
Unfashionable, industrial Northern town that lives for its sports.

Underachieving team but passionate fans. Sound familiar?

Didn’t quite realise how underachieving
