I would be suprised if no fallout from this if the asked for last nights game to be called off.

The EFL made them play it despite clear concurns.

They didn't.

Sunderland didn't ask for it to be postponed, because they weren't certain of the consequences if they did.

In effect they did, because the EFL threatened them with unspecified sanctions if they didn't play.
