Sunderland win but….

You'd have to make the mackems favourites, they're looking pretty good at the moment, really pleased for Mowbray, he's done great there.

Both teams will be attacking, if both teams perform it could be a very entertaining game. I'm hoping we start Lath as his pace could be vital on the counter.

Heart says we nick it in a high scoring game, head says a comfortable Sunderland win, especially if we start slow again, there's no way we're going to be sitting back against them.

I think we are very much in transition this season, I still don't know how good we are. It's very much been the squad getting the results than a settled starting eleven for us, the subs bench always looks pretty decent. Hopefully the recent results and confidence that comes with that allows players to step up and make an impact 🤞
 
I'm anticipating a Home win as most likely. We've came into form like them at the right time, however as previous posters have said form goes out the window at a derby game, even if their fans try to say its a game that doesn't matter any more than say QPR (then sing about us during matches) Plus Mogga knows full well the nature of these games amd he wouldn't be doing his job properly if he didn't use it as an angle to fire the players up.

It's true that anything can happen. Are we capable of beating them? Yes and vice versa. But I can't see past the fact that the Home team overwhelmingly gets a result from a derby match most of the time, It's just what happens. It won't make or break our season though, which is the most important thing and I certainly won't be jumping all over the players backs about it provided they put a shift in, unlike some posters inevitably will on such an occasion.

True, but then Cardiff had more points, goals, clean sheets and wins than us, they'd also scored in every single game. But our win and clean sheet didn't really feel like that much of a shock.
Who knows!
 
The better defence will win it and ours is pretty woeful atm, hopefully we are more up for it than them as that is our best hope

Sunderland are slight favourites but 'Draw or Boro' is odds on at 4/7
 
They are on form, they are looking like potential promotion candidates. We are getting there, but feel this game would have been better for us if it came in November. If we are to get anything we will need a bit of luck, a sending off for them . I think 3-0 to them but I hope I have misjudged the outcome.

That is a one dimensional view. Because we are coming into form and that is not easy to measure versus a Sunderland side with decent form but mixed because Cardiff beat them at home 11 days ago….
So, it’s going to be a real challenge for us but one we have shown we can overcome if we apply ourselves correctly 👌
