If you want to go Old School then get off at Seaham and walk the 6-7 miles to SOL. Show the Mackems our good cardio habits, we won the BP battle.

Have asked Boro if they have any details. There is a meeting between Boro, Sunderland, police and fan reps early next week so there will be more details after that. Perhaps think of any more questions to be asked. No cash in the stadium again remember. Leave it at home. All coins will be taken for Teesside nominated charities.

Can the police be briefed to allow fans to exit the away end in which ever direction they want (and not just to be ushered toward supporters coaches/ town centre).
Last time we were initially stopped going towards the SOL metro station by one policeman, and then given the ok by a second policeman a few yards along.
Think they are advising everyone stay back a few minutes to allow the ground to clear.
Just to update - looks like we will get fuller details next week - should be pretty similar to last season in what to expect at SoL. No police shield wall. No show of force etc.

From experience,in the past the SOL, keeping people back can cause more problems than it solves.

We always do that straight after the final whistle and never had any sign of bother.

Just been in a meeting with Sunderland club and police and Boro safety officer etc. I asked about the special train which is definitely on again and going to St Peter's (metro) station SoL.
The times are still being confirmed. I asked for the publicity to go out asap - it should be Wednesday we think when details of the Special train will be released along with all other matchday information. Just making sure the home game with Cardiff is out of the way first.
But there is definitely a special train going up from Middlesbrough Station to St Peters (Stadium of Light) - they are working on the times now and also I have asked them to say the capacity if possible.

It's usually around 10/10:15am for 12:30pm ko's.
Can't see it being the 11:05 train. Hopefully they put on a separate one around similar time to usual...otherwise that walk from St Peters to SOL, at 12pm, whilst being forced to be escorted by the police could mean it's touch and go if we make our seats for KO.
We have asked the train company to look again at the time Capy. We want it to get into Sunderland earlier. We being, Police, Sunderland FC and Middlesbrough Supporters Forum. At the meeting we have just had there were frowns all around when the time was announced and immediately the train operator was being contacted. Think you will see a different time announced on Wed. Am glad I was able to attend this morning if only just to help get the train time at a better time.
