True, but it wasn’t. Our first Wembley appearance was in the Full Members Cup, which was a competition taken (semi) seriously by the big clubs, as they were banned from Europe at the time.

I’m going to feel dirty for posting this, but if you look at Chelsea’s website they list the Full Members Cup amongst their Premier League and Champions League victories.

It's so funny watching the fans and seeing exactly what their chairman knew about football when he was trying to sign Will Grigg.
One of the fans threatens Chris Coleman and his response is great.
They fail at everything they try to do in each series so it's well worth watching.

No the ZDS was nothing like the checker trade which was a lower league only competition ( league 1 and 2).

The zds was a replacement for the void left by the euro ban so at the time it was a very credible competition that involved the full pyramid (if they wished to participate) and nothing at all as you imply.

So nothing to be “embarrassed” about either.
