Sunderland stewards

The stewards were ok, but the riot police presence was way OTT.
First time I've seen them guarding the entrance to the gents to prevent entry at full time.
What was that all about?
And it's not the 1980's lads.

Thought the stewards were fine. The police fine as well, but not sure they needed sniffer dogs.

One year at the SOL we weren't allowed to leave our seats after the game it made the front page of the Gazette. They blocked off the exits to the concourse so you couldnt even go to the toilet

Got to make sure you don't have any dreaded coins.
Loads of their fans sitting below have been hit by coins since they moved the away fans.

It’s been well broadcast for a while now you can’t take in coins, and the ground is cashless anyway so zero need to have them

Really odd because they patted me down but didn’t check my wallet or pockets for coins, I walked in with a bag that they didn’t once check the contents of and then at several points they threatened to kick out anyone who had a flag with them and tried to unveil it (as directed to them by MFC) 🤷🏻‍♂️

My mate is thinking of packing in away games with his young son.
Amount Charlie getting done at half time in the bogs , would put Fleetwood Mac to shame .
I didn’t even bother going into the concourse on Saturday. The place was rammed and I don’t bother drinking at Boro games.

Main bar, downstairs at HT wasn't. In fact it was pretty quiet.

Upstairs was rammed though and the drinks are worse.

Don't understand how fans don't know this.

I don't condone it. But this has been happening for years now.

The amount of sniff has always been ridiculous when attending away games.

Got to admit though, vaping is getting worse.

Just have to put up with it I guess as many away days (especially the closer ones) attract plenty of scum.

When I went the season before last, there were young Boro fans openly doing coke in the queue for the bar, so I can't blame them for that.
yeah, keep them out the toilets after the match, checking for anything hidden in your wallet, sniffer dogs....all points to a crack down on cokeheads

They're probably not regular attendees of the Stadium of Light.
You have to walk up the stairs to the top concourse, past the big sign that says concourse drinks...

There was even a steward on the door which invited you in on your way up the stairs if you wanted to go for drinks before the game.

That same bar was open at HT and after the game. And yet the place was quiet at HT, whereas it was a free for all upstairs with fans squeezing in huge queues for warm bottles of carling.
