Sunderland have only won three times at our place since 1952

The Arca goal, the Williams goal and then in 1962.

I know there are some who think that cos we 'try harder' with it being a derby to us but not them, but isn't that quite a pitiful record? We've won there loads of times in the same timeframe. They must see us as a proper bogey team anyway, especially away.

I realise this post has now guaranteed Sunderland victory, but I couldn't resist commenting on it.

A lot of them have been saying that they're not confident, not because they fear us as a team, but because they acknowledge that we're a bogey team.

Their claim that it's because we treat it as a cup final is daft. Their fans more than contribute to the atmosphere when we play each other at the Riverside, although I thought they were unusually quiet when we played them last season.

That Williams one still hurts. Coming off the back of the Leicester replay, remember it as one of the lowest feelings I had coming out of the Riverside. only won one league game after that. Think it knocked the stuffing out of the whole squad

Me too. I was a teenager and it was the most important thing in my life at the time without question.
