Sunderland away

There was the seaaon when they wouldnt even let boro fans go to the toilet and we had to stay in our seats for 1/2 hour it just got ridiculous going there.

Then we got the NUFC treatment with the temporary wall for segregation outside the ground, then we all got frogmarched/hemmed in round the sheepfolds towards st peters metro station whether we liked it or not or if we'd come by car and didnt need escorting back to the city centre in the opposite direction to southwick where we'd parked the car!
I remember that it was shocking I remember one boro saying to the steward so I’ll just pss myself then.

I was talking to a sunlun fan at work and he was saying they’ve had lots of bother with at fans throwing things so it looks like that’s the mantra they are going to use on us.

Yeah I see they’ve given pretty much every team an initial allocation of 1,950 tickets.

Coventry had their allocation capped at 2,000.

Be interesting to see what we get offered.

They keep blaming away fans yet it’s funny how Newcastle never seem to have this issue where they ruthlessly cut opposition allocations.

If it’s that much of an issue move the away fans back behind the goal, the atmosphere would be better for it too.

We should get at least what we offered them 2,800? I guess we would take 7,000, if offered them, but they never offer us more than 2,000.

Their top tier seems completely empty except for away fans in recent games. They seem to have a policy of packing fans in tight in tje lower tiers, but leaving big spaces empty areas in the upper tiers.

Even in the 2 cup games (league and FA Cup) we didnt get any additional allocation on safety grounds

Red, they were given 2575.
I think that is new standard max allocation in the league.
It used to 3k, but probably reduced due to the installation of the TV studio and screen, and access for the new TV gantry.
It still represents 8% of capacity.
If we got 8% of the sol it would be 3840.

Sounds good. Callerton for us.
(St getting tickets).
Just a heads up to NorthumberlandBoro

Think we were both planning to use park and ride on the Metro from Callerton or other North zone car parks to get to Sunderland.
Engineering works planned for match day closing lines north of South Gosforth so a rethink is required.

Sunday, 22 January 2023 - No trains between Airport-South Gosforth and South Gosforth-Four Lane Ends

Improvement Works

No trains will run between Airport and South Gosforth or between South Gosforth and Four Lane Ends in either direction all day on Sunday 22 January. To allow for track and overhead line work.

Replacement bus service number 900 will be running, calling at or close to all stations between Airport and Four Lane Ends (including South Gosforth).

Your journey will take longer so please allow extra travel time.

Ah, thanks for that.👍

In the interest of providing a balanced conversation can I offer a sunderland perspective on this fixture and be the first to say they don't care about us.
