Sunak wanted Cummings to work for him 'in secret'

Not sure why this is a story to be honest.

The Prime Minister looking to involve someone with a track record of winning votes is hardly a big deal.

Its not like they were meeting while Johnson or Truss was in office.
I think the issue is that his role, reach and influence when psrt of the government was both unprecedented and undemocratic.

The guy was running the country to some extent and in a way that was damaging to the functions of a cohesive and effective government.

Sunak knew this and yet engaged with him?

It poses a significant question about his own judgement.

Well that and confidence in his own ability to govern.

Says to me he's out of his depth and he knows it.

Mind you bringing Cameron back suggests pretty much the same.

Not a surprise at all given Cummings track record as pointed out above

Not a fan of what Cummings and his crew contributed to over the years and hold him one of those personally responsible for the absolute chaotic mess we find ourselves in now, as a country but anyway ..

There is no denying he is very good at what he does ha ha

It’s a story for sure

The prime minister pledged to restore trust in politics then offers a behind the scenes deal to bring a liar and sociopath back into no 10

Aye, exactly. Why would Sunak want Cummings to work in "secret" if it wasn't a story?

"Look, you've helped us con the electorate before. They're kind of on to the fact you're a massive self serving **** now, but I could really do with conning the electorate again. How about you come and do it in secret for us?"

How could that possibly be a story?
