Whilst I'm not naive enough to think that corruption is exclusive to the right, I do think that Conservative parties well documented (not to mention those not so well documented) links to big business, is a starting point that is inclined to a fundamental conflict of interest.
It's no coincidence that big big business bank-rolls the Conservatives, which infers a kick-back is expected in return.
Add to that that many very rich men also bank-roll certain MP's, in a bid to garner more political persuasion, then it leaves a very corrupt and prejudiced starting point.
Brexit, or rather what Brexit represents for its supporters, has been cynically adopted by the right wing, securing a majority in doing so. It's a massive political con, pulled-off in plain public view and no one seems to care, or at least not enough of us.
Big business and the super rich are the real power brokers, more so now than ever before.
