Boris was using a middle name, like James (Gordon) Brown or John (Vincent) Cable. Seems to be a common one among Tories and probably posh people in general. Dido is a nickname I think. Gideon (George) Osborne changed his by deed poll, understandably to be fair. Surely Suella is just a shortening like Anthony (Tony) Blair or Edward (Ed) Miliband.

She already has enough failings, don't need to add this easily defended one.
 
You would imagine people go into politics to make lives better for everyone ....where do the Cons get these odious individuals from and then elevate them to seats of power.....promoting here is taking the Cons to the realms

It all comes across as PR to me. You're not brazilian footballers, or mates that we've known for 30 years, use their proper names.

Braverman stood up to leave the chamber just before the end clearly unable to compute the catalogue of disasters the new Government has brought about in the past 4 weeks. Cooper is a quite excellent orator. Cruella was squirming, trying to evade eye contact like a school girl caught having a fag at the back of the bike sheds. Except it’s so much more grave and damning. Horrible woman who should be nowhere near Government.

This is usually said regarding asylum. And they aren't. Asylum and Migration are different - the Tories claim that asylum seekers on boats are migrants when this is certainly not the case for around 70% of them who are granted asylum.

If there was a legal route to the UK to claim asylum the boat crossings would stop. Why pay a trafficker £5k to sail across the channel when you could fill out a form in Calais?
 
I must admit that she is pure evil personified. He and Naz'im.

They bang on about the opportunities the UK gave their parents who fled poverty and persecution. And at the same time they are desperately trying to pull up the drawbridge to stop others, going so far as to criminalise folk.

Maybe her proposed policies should be ratified, and then applied retrospectively to their parents - who could then be shipped out for a long vacation in Rwanda.

I never thought I could ever witness such a vile incompetent bunch as today's Tory party.
