The season we went up I defended AK to the hilt for starting him wide, purely as we were winning games and it was effective. Always thought it strange how he refused to try him in the middle in the PL, even when Negredo was crocked and he didn’t rate Rhodes.

AK is one of my favourie Boro managers and I always defend him. I do think in this case he got it wrong with Stuani and played him out of position.

Because he thought he did a job there? The same reason as the Uruguay manager played him there?
It's perception of what others are thinking we've hot into here i suppose, which is a flawed situation.....

He would have made sense to play him there.

He tended to play up front for Uruguay with Suarez.

Stuani didn't always start for Uruguay for the reason you stated but Uruguay played a 4, 3, 1, 2 formation.
