Had a quick look yesterday at the match day thread v us.
Oh boy they are not a happy bunch, But land and Chester got some awful stick as did Powell when he got sent off.
Most reckon they are going down, no fight in the side, not happy with Maanger etc
It just echoed our mood and thoughts after the Swansea.
Made me laugh though.
I can't see them going down to be honest but who knows.
Anyway reading the forum was better than any book I've read recently.

I had a read of that too, the general consensus was that Tom Ince Butland and Chester are *****. And that they missed Joe Allen badly. And that they think are going down.

Have a look at Huddersfield's aswell, it's a beauty

Wouldn't actually mind them going at the expense of some other teams like Barnsley/Hull - purely from a selfish point of view because of the away games.

Try Readytogo, the mackems forum after we signed NW . They were seething , I mean how dare we . It’s hilarious ( what a day that was ) 🤗

I have a butchers on there every now and again, the thread about Neil Warnock was funny, they are adamant he should have gone there

Sorry oldman, I think it's players like Tom Ince that are the reason Stoke are where they are. Big money signings on big wages that flatter to deceive.
I did stipulate if we could afford him. I agree he sometimes flatters to deceive but so do all wingers, especially in the lower leagues. We have all cried out for such a player but in all honesty I cannot see Roberts choosing us over Celtic and Ince is one of those players who is not good enough for the Premiership but very good at this level.

I know it’s easy to say but I’d much rather play championship than Scottish pub league . Championship is fifth highest support in Europe

Michael O'Neill is a really good manager, doing a good job there.
They have huge issues with a massive squad of hugely over paid prima donnas who think they are doing stoke a favour by being there. He will deal with that.
The very last person they should be chasing is O'Neill.
And look at their record in pre Covid period, they were just about top of the current form league.
They do miss Joe Allen.

Fair enough. I just don't think we can afford passengers for the next two seasons (whichever league we are in), and having got rid of Gestede, and finally - though expensively - getting to the point where we can clear the decks of players that have not worked out, I would hope the club would wise up and not walk straight back down the same path.

I reckon any player at 'champo' level who wants to better themselves (Roberts included) would love to work with Warnock.

They know he's a winner, they know he gets promotions (point me to a manager with more?) and they know he gets players to give more than they ever will have done.

Any player who doesn't want that shouldn't be at the club anyway.

Just as a fan I'm desperate to hear what he's saying to the players to get them running through walls, I'm sure actual players want that too.

Sorry but I wouldn't have Ince as a bench option.

He's massively overrated for me.

I'd much rather throw a kid in from our academy than have Ince.

Plus Ince will no doubt demand a decent wedge in wages.

Agree with Piccadilly....Ince is one of the reasons why Stoke are plummeting at an alarming rate. McLean is another.

The only time I have ever rated Tom Ince was when he played for Blackpool and that seems like it was a life time ago. He’s not good enough. Overpaid and overrated is best way to describe him. Much better out there for sure. Stoke fans absolutely hate him and that is normally a giveaway.
