Was a bit shocked looking at the table to see them so low down. I thought Alex Neill would get them moving up like us and WBA have done. Their squad is a mess though and the owner seems to just like older, established players.
 
Just another club, relegated, didn't spend the parachute payments wisely (or the PL squad was filled with very well paid sh*t) that have struggled in the Championship once the money goes.

The importance getting promoted back to the PL while the parachute payments are still there is massive......🙄🙄

They were so poor in their relegation season - it can be hard to rediscover the winning habit. They almost went down again straight away in fact.
They do have pluses from their Premier years. They have a really good training complex, not unlike Boro's in fact. But they looked to be in a real mess when we played them earlier this season.
Stoke always reminds me of Teesside. But 5 years behind.
