Stoke City v Middlesbrough. Match Thread

Well that was crap. We should have got something given how many injuries Stoke had. They were stronger than us outbattled us. We didn't move it quick enough in midfield. Morsy anonymous and Saville far too slow and defensive in his passing. Spence did nowt on the right ended up running backwards. Akpom was invisible. Ref blew for absolutely everything poor for both sides.
I'd like to see howson moved to a more offensive role as he's our best player in there.
 
Do we struggle to see our own players when we were our away kit because we look unable to string 2 passes together half the time.

Someone with a decent first touch would be nice. Im
Not writing him off, it’s not his fault he’s getting picked. But he looks no where near ready for me.
 
We have an incredible ability to sign terrible forwards. I don’t know what we pay them but Bamford apart we have signed blokes who week in week out are shocking, lack effort, interest and ability. When can we sign a half decent hard working striker who knows where the goal is?

Howson has generally been poor for us when playing in a more offensive role. The sitting role suits him much better. Think he has to give Roberts a run now playing in the hole, with one of the midfielders being sacrificed. We had nothing through the middle today.

Hes played 46 minutes of first team football in his career.

You have to start somewhere and I think we all agree NW is no mug, so he obviously sees something in him. Lets at least give him 60 mins
 
Very poor game. Stoke did a job on us scored and then said 'break us down', which we never looked like doing. That's the Championship for you though, lots of evenly matched sides. Hopefully we'll stay in contention for a play off spot most of the season.

Well don’t dig me out for giving an honest opinion. All I’m saying is Folarin shouldn’t be getting brought on judging on what I have seen of him. That’s Warnocks fault though not his.

And yeah your right they are both poor, but Assombalonga is more threatening. Akpom had a good first couple of games but has went right off the boil
