Stoke's cheating was in 2020 re amortisation, impairments and an £88m engineered loss in that particular season.Yet another EFL head duck.
Stoke worse than Derby.

Definitely, it should never have been possible to do it, but they weren't actually breaking any rules by doing so.

Just like Derby, Sheffield Wednesday and Reading.

All of those 3 were caught out for other financial issues or inept accounting, which is why they'd resorted to the stadium sale in the first place.
Hopefully Stoke are caught out for their other issues.
 
I think it’s a farce caused by the rules. Yes we should be preventing clubs from being saddled with debt by crooks and ran into near extinction, but if an owner wants to put their own money into a club then let them. The Coates family are incredibly wealthy, and huge Stoke fans.
 
Don't like what Stoke have done.
Another team where when you look at the 'assets' after spending so much they have very little to show.
Terrible Club management.

Got to say that a degree of financial fair play is essential if football clubs are to survive.
Even the current flawed FFP system is better than nothing.
Loopholes are getting closed and Gibbo is acting as an effective policeman.

Imagine no FFP - Stoke could outspend most.
Just look at the profits made by the Coates family.
