Stockton Calling - Sat 16 April 2022

I'm going but a bit long in the tooth to know many of the bands (though I have seen some).
If I was seeing one band, who should it be?

I asked this question a few years back and was told The Howl & The Hum...wow, what a tip that was, seen 'em 9 times now!!
Try Retro Video Club. And The Reytons are great live as well. There is lots nI have not heard of and haven't started my listening yet. Soon though. Not even got a ticket yet. Hope its not sold out.

Depends what you like, but the ones I've listed earlier are all good.

HYYTS are good friends of Howl & The Hum and often play together, although they are nothing like each other. The lead singer of HYYTS is great to watch and they are great guys.

If you like say The Sherlocks, Maximo Park, Catfish & The Bottlemen, that kind of driving uptempo indie guitar stuff, then Retro Video Club played a raucous, but melodic set at Twisterella that had the place bouncing.

Frankie Beetlestone is great.

You could quite easily spend all day just in the Arc and have a belting day, quite honestly.

By the way, if you like H&TH I'll tell you who is a must see at a mini festival in Stockton in May

Hamish Hawk

I'm pretty sure everyone who saw HH at Gathering sounds and Live at Leeds would agree.

Georgian Theatre. He is the headliner at Songs From Northern Britain 7 that blaggamuffin puts on.
