Steve Gibson Q and A Latest

Surely match catering is not a crucial topic and even retail its secondary to ticket prices. Scrutiny on ticketing has to be the main focus for the limited time
There will be a question and answer with MFC Retail on Feb 28th - so we will start a thread for that,
Am not going to be looking on this thread for Steve Gibson questions. We will put up a new thread next week.

I’d like to know if there are any plans to install solar or wind power at the stadium. It doesn’t have to be a huge turbine, there are plenty of other options for wind that would be able to be installed on the roof edges to capture wind that flows over the top. The initial expense for these would be outside of FFP and would significantly reduce the ongoing running costs for the stadium.

The cost is really high. I mean really high. Look back at an answer I have made earlier in the thread, We are talking the same as signing a player to retrofit the stadium.
It's a one-off capital cost of running a stadium. One that if utilised correctly can increase ongoing revenue elsewhere. It's an investment.

He hasn't answered the fans in nearly 4 decades, does anyone expect him to start now! Always a puppet or two below that do some half arsed answering!

Currently working out a date, time and format for this. As in we are planning right now.
Will be next month.
So, after the Q and A with MFC Retail, due for end of this month. Fingers Crossed.
We will be taking questions from this forum to ask. Probably fairest to be one question each, especially with the chairman. But I will be back with details later as we put everything into place.
Why do the club charge so much for walk up prices, when most of these people can't afford a season ticket.

I'm not the best at mental arithmetic, but that looks like more than one question to me.
You are indeed correct , there are 5 questions so feel free to choose one as your own to ask , APART from the top one which is , as it says my 1st choice .
The other 4 are questions I would like to hear answered but , as Rob says , take one each so I choose the top one on player transfers .
Feel free anyone to use one of my other questions .

I’ve no doubt that there are significantly better personnel out there, but MFC seems to operate a closed shop for its staffing.

Anyone remember the new ticketing manager (or similar) that came in to work with Joanne swinnerton? Tried to implement new things and ended up leaving after no time.

Most decision making staff are local and have been at the club for years - present for bad decision after bad decision. We just seem very small time, stuck in our ways, nothing innovative or fresh in our ideas.
Yep pretty much. Paying someone, or a small team who’s good with a bit of PR would probably end up paying for itself

I would have thought this was self explanatory — transfers are not easy, there are so many points of negotiation, moving circumstances, and waiting for time to extract best value in sales and purchases.

A trick was missed when the English transfer deadline was moved ahead of the season start, and then Europe didn’t follow suit so they were forced to change it back.
Thanks Air Resistance. I get your point, it’s annoying the season has started and the transfer window being open. But we know that’s the case ahead of time. We’ve had terrible starts to the last two seasons where we are down to the bare bones and throwing in new signings and giving no time to train or gel with team mates. 22/23 season we had 2 wins from first 10 games. This season no wins in first 7. If we were even 3-6 points better off right now, then we’d be still looking at making the play offs. It just seems we are one of the only teams each season that struggles with this problem. If it happens again next season then it’s unacceptable.
