I have a small lawn and recently tided up the edges and the borders.
There were two patches of dead grass - so I cut them out, replaced with lawn compost and mixed with grass seed.
Initially I thought that was fine - but the little barstewards keep coming back and dig into the lawn looking for bulbs / berries, etc.
Covered the fledgling seeded area with wire mesh - that has worked!
Problem: they dig into the lawn and the borders and are a bluddy nuisance.
Apart from a machine gun or an defolient - any suggestions how I might keep these furry rats under control?
