Whatever has been posted about Spence he is yet another great Boro success story.

We pulled him off the scrapheap at Fulham and brought him a long way north to learn his trade properly on Teesside.

We then gave him the valuable game time as a youngster he would never have got at a premier league club and albeit by a bit of a winding road via Forest and a couple of bust ups he has now gone to a top club for a big fee.

We have won and so has he, let’s find the next Spence and carry on.

I would argue one point about us both “winning” in that him going to a rival club and played a key role in Side that directly took the play off and then promotion place directly from us given we finished 7th.

So his loan did ultimately cost us in the league.

We were never going up last season, It's irrelevant...
Thanks👍

Maybe he helped Forest take points off people that then finished below us as a result. Depends on your outlook I guess!

Not really a there’s no doubt spence being at forest was a direct boost to their play of push and to the detriment of us.

I’m not saying I’m not glad we’ve sold him but I’m questioning how good his forest loan really was for us.

Thats how I looked at it
Forest won at Blackburn but lost at home, done the double over Millwall & took 4 points off WBA

All 3 teams directly below the Boro, I think he helped us by beating other teams more than not playing for us, IMHO mind
