South Stand Season Tickets

Looking to get the daughter a Season Ticket in the South Stand for next season but when you go into the tickets available section on the website the whole stand is blocked out with none available.

Anyone have any ideas as to why this is when there are plenty of matchday tickets to be had there?

Presumably its cos at present they're all reserved for their owners? Until the deadline.

Thanks for the reply.. yeah I’m guessing they’re not putting the current ‘non season ticket’ seats available just yet. Will give the ticket office a call as don’t want to end up paying more if they put them on sale after the early bird expires.

If you look at tickets for the Blackburn game there are some seats available, not taken by existing season card holders, in the south.
 
NB - South Stand could be sold out for this season for season ticket seats so will be blocked out until the end of March for new applicants. No good of course if you want the early bird didcount

Some tickets can appear where fans have told the club to sell their seat for the odd match. Some blocks are not available to season ticket holders in the South Stand.

I would advise Tees ste to contact the ticket office direct they could accept an EB application that is paid for now with seat allocation in April.
 
The blocks closest to the east stand can't be put on sale due to FA Cup away allocation we don't want to do a Sunderland. Then you can contact the club and have your seat put on sale if you can't attend a game due to holiday or something. But the south stand is sold out to season ticket holders.
 
It's funny they don't sell all the blocks as season tickets that they open on match day. My son wants to move there and I'm going to have to wait until the reserved period ends, which is a bit of a pain but not much. He no longer wants to sit with me!
 
Not 100% sure but aren't the early bird prices for renewals only? Not for new season tickets? Might be wrong there as I only renew.
 
Quick update:

I spoke to the ticket office at lunchtime and as suspected the South Stand is currently sold out for season tickets as the 'on the day' tickets could potentially be part of an away allocation if required.

So the workaround for anyone wanting to apply as an early bird is to purchase a ticket in the North Stand then request a move to the South. Once the early bird time frame expires, any seats that haven't been purchased by existing season ticket holders can be filled with people wishing to move.
