Infectious live act, seen them on the Park Stage at Glastonbury 2017 really get the crowd moving.

If you like them try Tinariwen - more trance-y or Ibibio Sound System - more funky

And of course Ali Farka Toure (sadly no longer with us)

TBH that does nothing for me. Not sure why, maybe the bluesy element. I tend to like more acoustic blues than electric. I used to love the 4 Brothers when they did sessions for John Peel and Any Kershaw. They were pretty damn fine.

Big fan of all these bands mentioned plus of course the Bhundu Boys.
If this is your bag then check out Bombino. Saw him at Arc a while ago and he was transcendent. You get lost in the guitar lines:
