The other Issue is right wing back its either Dijksteel or Jones.

I have decided - drop McNair for Lenihan and keep Dijksteel at right wing back.

When you have played Wednesday night I think its good to rotate some places to keep players fresh.

Agree that McGree comes in for Hackney ; it's Millwall away and not even sure McGree is strong enough but he is all we have because Mowatt is finished. Lloungo has to make the bench ahead of Mowatt surely ?
 
Dijksteel best position if RCB in a back three. He's an athlete not really a footballer (can't believe those who say he should be tried as a midfielder). He'd be clueless in that position. I think he will go with the same team (presuming everyone is fit) and Jones will start on the bench. He could drop Dijksteel for Lenihan and move Paddy over to wing back.

McNair as wing back? You ok mate?
 
Millwall have played 3-5-2 or a variant of it in most of their games this season, especially home games. If they go 3-4-1-2 with 2 forwards and a 10 then I’d go 4-2-3-1 and have a back 4 of Bola Lenihan Fry Dijksteel with Howson in front to man mark the 10 (probably Flemming). Let Fry and Lenihan go toe-to-toe with Afobe and Bradshaw. Giles and Jones out wide should then not have as much covering to do as their wife players will be starting deeper
 
I thought our delivery in to the box on the right side was poor on Wednesday so I’d bring jones back, reckon he’ll be firing on all cylinders.. would leave Hackney in as he was a handful in midfield…

HE shouldn't. His pace is of course important, his ball carrying is important. But with both him and Giles in teh side together I worry about us defensively, because both have been poor when we don't have the ball.

Jones needs to work on his decision making, too many times when defending he tries to slide in gets beat and we are in trouble. When attacking his crossing is really poor, seems to always want to cross the ball low through the legs of the first defender, yes that worked really well a couple of times last season, but defenders are wise to it now.

Ballooned a couple of crosses but apart from that he was excellent i thought.

He had that one brain fart moment when he played the back pass straight to their player but that aside, I thought he played well.

It's just his final ball which he needs to work on. He was getting into some great positions but then over hitting the cross.

He was playing as one of our main attacking outlets though.

Making a major defensive mistake and putting in terrible balls to me means he was having a bad game as a RWB.

He was being played out of position, so it's not fully fair on him, but it was noticeable to me that they started letting McNair ping in the crosses by the end of the match.

Djiksteel delivery no worse than Jones and he is twice the defender Jones is. I’d stick with the same team for today
