So, I was chatting with Sir Alex this week.....

I always thought he would be something of a miserable and unapproachable guy but it was quite the opposite. His passion for football was clear.

I listen to a lot of that Undr The Cosh podcast and he’s spoken about quite a lot. A lot of the stories are about how he looked out for people in general, rather than just his club. Just seems like a genuinely lovely man who knew how to switch on the tough love when he needed to.

He also said that about David Moyes, Steve Bruce, Mark Hughes, Ryan Giggs, Bryan Robson, Gary Neville, Brian Kidd and Roy Keane though......
He said he respected David Moyes, Steve Bruce was a leader, Mark Hughes was a very intelligent player, wished Ryan Giggs well, thought Bryan Robson was fantastic and had all the qualities for a great manager.. he wished Gary Neville well, sung Brian Kidds praises as a coach and never really mentioned Roy Keane.

Sir Alex is defo a boro fan isn’t he! I remember getting his autograph after they had just won the league at the riverside. He made sure other players came out to give us autographs.. got Eric Cantona, David Beckham etc

He did in his first book…..

I had a mate who worked at Redworth Hall, when Man U often stayed there if they played us. He said Fergie was an absolute gent, was really friendly and down to earth with all the staff.
He also said Roy Keane was an arrogant tosser...

Met him at the Tebay services on the M6 on our way back from the lakes. We were stood together queuing for coffees.
Told him I was a Middlesbrough fan and he was happy talking football with me for 2-3 minutes. He said we are playing some fantastic football under Carrick, and is clearly showing an interest in the club. With the Carrick connection obviously.

He said Carrick will be a "top, top" manager and that he really hopes we get promotion. I asked him if he talks with Carrick and he smiled slightly and said "yea, from time to time".

Sincere apologies for the selfie. Posted for proof.

superb work sir, glad to hear he was pleasant and approachable. But then knowing his politics and background I shouldn't be that surprised.

won quite a lot of matches between them. Robson, Bruce and Moyes in particular have had good managerial careers. Hughes, not sure why he is down in League Two, maybe he sees that Bradford have potential.
