So how far down does the playoff race go now?

First, of course we're looking up, not down, but which teams should we stop worrying about now?

I'm not ready to write Norwich or WBA off yet, but below them is Hull, and I think if Hull overtake us, they're probably the least of our worries as 4-5 other clubs will have leap frogged us too.

So, who is in and out of the race now?

Hull are the last team in it probably for play off contention, but in terms of catching us i think West Brom or Norwich

We're not nailed on top 6 yet, so I am still looking down more than up. I think Hull's goal difference might stop them getting top 6, same with Preston. So I would go as far down as Norwich.

I think anyone down to Norwich can make the playoffs. I think Hull have too much ground to make up.
I think we would have to implode not to make the playoffs. We might end up limping over the line in 6th but I expect us to do better than that.
I don't expect anyone to catch Sheffield Utd but it might end up quite tight if we beat them on Wednesday.
If I were a Watford or Norwich fan, I would be really worried because they are off the boil at the wrong time.

Bristol City are my late runners for the Play Offs this season so I`m saying down to them, although Brum could quickly catch up if they continue their change in fortune

I would agree with this...much as I would like to see us make up the ground on Sheff U, I just don't think it will happen. On the other hand, I would be massively disappointed and surprised if we don't comfortably make the play offs

We are still chasing automatic promotion.
On average you need 88 points to finish second. To get that, we need 37 points from 15 games, 2.5 points a game. Sheff Utd would need 27 from 16, 1.69 a game & they've been averaging 2ppg all season.

There's still "a chance" but we'd need Sheff Utd to have a run of bad form the like they haven't had all year while we don't miss a beat.

I think it goes all the way down to 18th right now.

On average you need at least 74 points to make the playoffs, it is 10 years since someone got in with less than 70 points.

Bristol City are 13th on 39 & 18th is Reading on 38 points both after 30 games, so they'd need 2 points a game for the next 16 games to hit 70+ points.

Over the last 15 games only Burnley, Sheff Utd, Boro & West Brom have averaged 2+ppg.

It isn't happening for them.

IMO, the top 6 stay as they are with a chance that Blackburn or West Brom nick in over Watford.

Not really all we need is a win on wed and shef u get a few draws and that lead is gone.

But wed is key lose or draw and it’s all over

Anyone within 6 or 7 points of 6th place, and with a game in hand is still in it. It's a very tight division and four wins on the trot would see a side leaping up the table.

Not worrying about anyone else just focusing on ourselves. As long as we keep going and get ourselves in there I think we can beat every team in this league and beat them well. Get ourselves in that top 6 and get that Home Game in the second leg and I think Wembley beckons May 29th.

Win on Wednesday and perhaps top 2 could still be on, but considering we were 22nd in November, top 6 is miraculous
