Well given that my bit of the civil service has been told we can expect at most a 2% payrise this year that doesn't even match inflation. Plus we've already got 150 vacancies that are unfilled and unfillable due to offering terrible wages. So the civil service is only going to get worse and worse as it's most competent staff leave for greener pastures where their skills will be appreciated and replaced by anyone willing to work for sub-McDonalds wages.Civil service is a huge employer in County Durham, could the region really cope with thousands of further job losses?
I don’t think it will go through but how many are sitting tonight worrying about jobs especially through a cost of living crisis. To even suggest this is beyond evil by this joke of a government
