SNP and Tories walk out of HOC in protest

Looks like Hoyle is clinging on by a thread. There is an early day motion with Tories saying they have no confidence in him.

I honestly think that the SNP were pretty low to effectively side with the Tories on this. If the Tories hadn’t pulled their amendment none of this would have happened though. The HoC is a farce and has been since Johnson.

If anything this shows we really need a General Election ASAP.

Absolutely it’s just further evidence of the chaos of the Tory party, of the lack of an effective government, the Tories were barely in chambers for this despite the amount of shouting at Labour about Israel. They should have been whipped to attend and vote for the governments preferred position, instead of pulling the ruling from under the process simply because their plans to see Labour in a no win position were scuppered

It's really parliamentary pantomime, and paying political lip service to a very complex and deep rooted problem. We all see those horrific pictures, and stories, of those in Gaza, and seeing the children who are suffering most, kills me, and angers me. However, I think that we all know that the UK is a bit player in this brutality and counter brutality, and only the US can bring a permanent solution and demand the Israelis stop their warring activities, and put an end to the suffering of the innocent.

Why didn't the tories just make up a law that the Speaker hadn't allowed the motions? That seems to be where they are these days - pretending reality does not exist.

Sadly whatever they do/did /vote tonight will have no effect at all on what is going on in Gaza. Waste of time. Political points scoring the lot of them
It is political point scoring from the SNP who are having issues. This was instigated to impact the labour vote in scotland against them. The Tories saw an opportunity for England too, but it backfired.
