I think 3 lounge passes worked out about the same, and the stopover is in the middle of the night so would be nice to have a bed.

But lounges give you free food and drink.

There are a lot of lounges at Dubai airport and some are cheaper than others

There's no way I could get to sleep knowing I had to get up in three hours, and knowing that I'd pay $175. I'd lay there counting the minutes, and the dollars.

travelling with a baby though, so bed would be handy.....although maybe the booze would be more handy haha
