We are on the Red Button tomorrow, but why, very strange for a 3pm Saturday kickoff ?

We are on the Red Button tomorrow, but why, very strange for a 3pm Saturday kickoff ?

World Cup loophole.

50% of fixtures in the top 2 divisions need to be on at Saturday 3pm for the blackout to take effect.

There are no Premier League matches and only 8 Championship matches on at that time, which is only 36% of the 22 possible fixtures.

It's never really popped up before now for obvious reasons.
