Uncle Rico's Virgin deal is a real bargain.

I do like Sky for football - especially the Championship. They also do a lot of Premier League and its technically very reliable and I can watch it free on mobile devices any where, say when I stay at peole's houses that don't have Sky.

It was the big bundle that they did for £79, which was good itself as you got an unlimited sim card, but when they moved the sim to o2, both me and the wife were already with o2 and told them we didn't need it so they cancelled it and knocked £25 off. I got an email a couple of weeks ago saying I could continue with the same package for the same amount of £54.

Cancelled mine back in about May after 15 odd yrs. Found a much more reasonable way to watch absolutely anything for £40 a year.

I was paying £90 odd a month for Sky, was out of contract back in January, we live in a rural area and the broadband is crap, we finally got gigaclear installing fibre broadband at the end of last year, decided to take the jump and ditch sky, get the fibre broadband for £45 a month (guaranteed min 250mbps), previous broadband with BT was £27, so just £18 more. 2 Firesticks for £70 & £90 a year for iptv, saved myself best part of a grand a year.

IPTV.... got rid of my Sky over 5yrs ago, when my payments went to £110 per month for HD multi room

I have IPTV on 2 firesticks, one payment lifetime access for both, had them for 5yrs all great... Sky sports BT/TNT EPL EFL Championship, PPV and VOD... Foook SKY ripoff Bastwards ...

I’ve had Sky since 1997, last prob 10 years when my contract is up I’ve threatened to leave and their retainment team have come back and offered some kinda of deal, this time they seemed like they couldn’t be arsed. My guess is they have customers leaving in droves so are just trying to screw those who just sign up again. Think the EPL might be in for a bit of a shock when the next tv rights contract comes up

Is IPTV when you have a box and pick up Sky and other channels online for free from a foreign pirate provider - all commercially illegal for the UK user, but no one prosecutes?

Yes but it’s not free. You usually pay someone and they give you the apps and login details to access the streams. It’s those resellers that are prosecuted if they’re caught.
